White Sands National Park – Beautiful, but limited in what I can do as the paved road ends before getting to the center of the dunes…sand on the road poor for a Harley!
The sand is really, really, white and someday I look forward to going deeper into the park to walk barefoot and sled on the dunes.Because all the sand is gypsum, instead of silica, the sand is cool to the touch…even when it was 107 degrees like today.Even sticking my fingers deep into the gypsum sand it was cool and not hot!
