This property was also part of the recent purchase by the church of several properties (Brigham Young home, Nauoo House, Joseph Smith Homestead, Kirtland Temple, etc.).Calling of the draft horses each morning at around 7:45AM. They actually come running and respond by name to those missionaries (many with extensive horse training and caring experience) called to serve in Nauvoo.The barn for brushing and caring for the horses before their day of work (they have enough that horses only work every other day pulling the tourist carts).Truly amazing and kindly caring of beautiful animals by wonderful senior missionaries.
